Cheretta Robson has 11 years in career services and more than 15 years in higher education. She current works at Fordham University- Rose Hill campus as the Senior Associate Director of Career Services. She has also held roles as the Director for the Oxley Career Education Program at the College of Mount Saint Vincent and Assistant Director of Career Development at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights, NY. She has had experience providing career counseling, coordinating all of the logistical components for the college academic internship programs, organizing graduate career and internship fairs, on-campus recruiting, managing employer relations, maintaining graduate reporting and the development of career curriculums and programming workshops. Cheretta was also is an adjunct professor at the College of Mount Saint Vincent and Polytechnic Institute of NYU teaching career planning and discovery internship courses to prepare students for opportunities in various industries. During her ventures into higher education Cheretta has presented independent workshops for several State of New York Student Assembly conferences, NCAA, CUNY Baruch Leadership Conference, Lion’s International and many other organizations. Cheretta has pursued other areas of student services such as Residence Life, Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, Academic Advising, New Student Orientation, Upward Bound and Campus Activities where she has worked at St. John’s University, Columbia University and Educational Housing Services. Cheretta has recently taught Foundations of Student Development as an adjunct instructor for Alfred University-NYC Downstate Graduate program for graduate students focusing in Career Counseling/Adult Education. Cheretta is also an active member of several organizations National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, National Career Development Association, National Resume Writers Association, National Association of Career Centers and Employers and the Metropolitan New York College Career Planning Officers Association, as the current President for (2017-2019). Cheretta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications and Media Design from the State University of New York at Old Westbury and a Master of Science in Education focusing in Student Development Higher Education with a concentration in Counseling which she completed in 2007 at St. John’s University. Cheretta also hold Career Coaching Intensive certificate from NACE and a Essentials of HR Management Certificate from the Society of Human Resource Management.
